Trivia
The credited director - Ladislao Vajda - died after a month of work in Barcelona. The assistant director Luis María Delgado had to face the bigger part of the shooting. Even so, Delgado refused to be credited as director, presumingly to pay tribute to his Spanish-Hungarian master Vajda.

It was rumored at the time that star Sara Montiel was partly responsible for Ladislao Vajda's heart attack. She had recently married in Rome attorney Vicente Ramirez Olalla in a Catholic ceremony with the Pope's blessing but was soon having an affair with leading man Giancarlo Del Duca. The husband would sometimes show up during filming and add a lot of tension to the proceedings. According to sources the stress was too much for director Vadja.
