Q
Location of shoot
A
This is trivial: The film credits list 'Santa Monica pier' as the film location. I lived in Venice, Ca at the time and distinctly remember that the old POP pier (aka Lick Pier) was decorated for filming 'They Shoot Horses' (photo on request). Also, SM pier didn't even have a ballroom. I suspect, uh, hasty research here.
