This was the first Barney & the Backyard Gang video to feature a Barney costume with a lighter magenta tone (whereas the previous three videos had a Barney with a darker bluish-violet tone) which would stay that way well into the Barney & Friends (1992) show.

This is also Rickey Carter's debut as Derek, replacing Jason (Salim Grant). According to Bob West, Salim Grant was reportedly upset during the making of the videos (in other words, he was being a spoiled brat), which was the reason he left the set.
