Trivia
Duncan Jones said that the original script was very one sided in terms of the two factions (horde and alliance), after signing on to direct he made major edits to the story as well as the script so both factions could tell their side of the story.

Lifesize weapons and suits of armour were built for the orcs despite the orcs being played by actors via motion capture (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Avatar ect). This was mainly for photographic references and so that they could use them as props on the set.

Warcraft is said to be an adaptation of the very first Warcraft game and the story follows the first war between the orcs and humans (though other races are rumoured to appear e.g dwarfs)

Q
What will the rating of this movie be?
A
Chris Metzen mentioned that the film will be action-packed and violent, stating "We're definitely not going to make a G or a PG version of this. It's not PillowfightCraft."based on the game series track record, expect it to be PG-13. (think The Lord of the Rings films)Most likely the rating will be PG-13 for intense fantasy violence. But if its R, it really does push it.
