Two "No Stairway to Heaven" signs were made for the film. The one used in the movie spells out the whole phrase, while a second one, not used in the film, simply read "Stairway to Heaven" and had a "no cross" through it (similar to "no parking" signs). The one not used in the movie was featured on Pawn Stars, being sold by someone who had worked in the guitar shop used in the movie, along with some other Wayne's World memorabilia.
When Wayne and Garth are on the hood of the car watching airplanes fly over, Garth asks Wayne if he ever thought Bugs Bunny was attractive in women's clothing. Mike Myers' laugh after that comment was genuine, but he was laughing at something completely different Dana Carvey said off camera.
When Garth first sits down behind the drum set in the music store, there is a sunburst Les Paul guitar hanging on the wall behind his head. When he starts playing the drums and lights change, the guitar is no longer there.
Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) an unemployed handbanger who still lives with his parents in a suburban Chicago neighbour and his best friend Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) hosts a very popular Friday Night public cable network TV show called "Wayne's World", which is filmed and broadcast in Wayne's basement. But, Wayne and Garth soon hit it big time, when TV network executive Ben Oliver (Rob Lowe) decides to put the show on his Prime Time TV network, sponsored by billionaire and one of the largest owners in the arcade business Noah Vandahoff (Brian Doyle-Murray). But, Ben intends to ruin the show and plans on stealing Wayne's new girlfriend Cassandra Wong (Tia Carrere), a leader singer of a heavy metal band, from Wayne, if the show fails to be a success and Wayne sets out to help Cassandra make it big time with her music career.
