Kensuke Sasaki pinned One Man Gang to retain The WCW United States Championship. However, the match had previously been restarted after a controversial pinfall win by One Man Gang over Sasaki. On television, the PPV actually ended with the first pinfall, so One Man Gang left Starrcade with the title, even though he actually lost the match.

Received an official VHS release in the USA (catalogue number T7072), however the title was misprinted on the cover as "WCW Starrcade 1996". As a result of this error, the official VHS of WCW Starrcade 1995 is often mistaken as being WCW Starrcade 1996 (1996) - a different event.
