xXx's car is a 1967 Pontiac GTO. The first car purchased by the studio to build up for the film still wore its original GM/Pontiac paint color known as Montreux Blue, which, after 30-plus years in the California sun, had severely faded.

In the DVD extras, Vin Diesel comments that before his 3-month preparation for Triple-X, he'd never ridden a motocross bike; he was trained by the world's top motocross bikers.

Goofs
When Xander is captured by the Americans (after skateboarding down the railings on a dessert tray) he is taken into a concert hall. The exterior shot is of the Rudolfinum Concert Hall in Prague, however the interior shot is of a completely different building, the Prague National Theater (notable for it's red velvet seating). In addition, on the director commentary, the director explains how that theater (the National Theater) is where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart premiered "Don Giovanni." This is also incorrect as that opera premiered at the Estates Theater, another theater in Prague but not pictured in xXx.

As Xander cuts the parachute free after landing on Ahab, a cameraman is clearly visible on the front of the boat.

When Yelena pulls onto the bridge towards the end of the movie, the GTO is maroon rather than blue, then changes back in later shots.

Q
Who is the band playing in the opening scene?
A
The band at the beginning of the film is German heavy metal band Rammstein. They are performing the song "Feuer Frei!" off their album called "Mutter".
Q
How many different versions of xXx are available?
A
Just in time for the theatrical release of the sequel - xXx: State of the Union - Sony Pictures released an unrated Director's Cut of the movie that runs approximately 8 minutes longer and features several new pieces of storyline and some shots of brief nudity and a much longer version of the striptease for Xander. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.Be aware that the European releases of the Director's Cut might be cut due to the fact that they're based on a British master that has been altered because of the BBFC's policy regarding scenes that could have a bad influence on the youth. In this particular case a headbutt is missing. One can find a comparison between the cut European version and the uncut US version here.
