The film's title was used in some advertising at the time of its premiere: 'Many newspapers advertisements included admonitions to buy bonds. (...) Kroger's claimed that its Clock Bread, which cost 17 cents for two loaves, provided war workers with "energy vitamins" for "the needed extra vitality". An advertisement for Cornway's Jewelers, claiming that "You Can't Ration Love," stated: "We will have war and weddings! We will have bombers and bullets... and babies, too! We're not going to stop the pursuit of happiness! We don't have to... We must not!"' - James B. Lane, "City of the Century: A History of Gary, Indiana", page 211.
