A portion of the Animal Junction set was built inside a lemur cage at the Duke Primate Center. Interaction between the Kratt Brothers and Jovian, the lemur who played Zoboomafoo were filmed over 2 months.

Zoboomafoo's real name was Jovian. He was a Coquerel's Sifaka who was born at the Duke Primate Center in 1994. He died November 10, 2014.
