Henry Darrow provided the voice of Zorro/Don Diego for Filmation's animated series, The New Adventures of Zorro (1981). He also played Don Alejandro, Don Diego's father, in Zorro (1990).

Early in preproduction Guy Williams was considered to reprise his role from Zorro (1957).
