Katy Perry in news for her denied trademark of Left Shark design

Katy Perry is still being talked about in relation to her Super Bowl Halftime show. The US Patent and Trademark Office are still talking about the memorable Left Shark. Katy Perry was trying to get her clumsily dancing costume that stood behind her an in the Super Bowl Performance, a trademark. However the trademark examiner David Collier denied the trademark request and did not accept the character design as he was not convinced. Collier argued that Lefty does not identify or distinguish the singer’s work from others, and Left Shark does not connect people to pop music or concert. Another report claimed that Perry submitted wrong design at the time of submission. The Shark picture from the Super Bowl performance and the Shark image submitted for registration were different. Anyway, the good news is that Katy can try again for the trademark. Whether it is the Left Shark or Right Shark, Katy keeps trying.
