Partisan received a Special Jury Award for cinematography at the Sundance this year. The movie marks the directorial debut of Ariel Klieman who is famous for his short films Young Love and Deeper than Yesterday. Vincent Cassel is playing the role of a cult leader in the movie. Little group of abandoned women and children make up his private society. Vincent’s character Gregori acts as a surrogate father to the kids and trains them in a more a violent ways than regular upbringing would ask for. One child among them shows a problematic mind played by Jeremy Chabriel. The Partisan’s trailer gives a basic outline of the coming off age story which looks quite compelling. The Caesar Award winning French actor is known to the English audience through his Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen roles. His Black swan role also got him immense popularity. Cassel got married to Monica Bellucci in 1999 and has two kids. He got separated from her in 2013.
