His parents are Meade Palidofsky and Alan Neff. His mother is the founder of Storycatchers Theatre and his father is a lawyer and novelist.
Originally planned to study film at university in the hope that he would become a cinematographer.
Was engaged to stage actress Kelly O'Sullivan. They met during a 2008 theatre production of "Jon".
His play, "The Last Duck" at the Jackalope Theatre in Chicago, Illinois was nominated for a 2012 Non-Equity Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work.
