Former lawyer turned bartender/struggling screenwriter Sheldon Turner, broke through with his first script sale in March 2000 when he sold the thriller "The Inside Man" to Ignite Entertainment and Lions Gate Films for 'low-six figures against mid-six figures'.
Has completed some uncredited work on scripts for various projects. He did a full rewrite for "The Amityville Horror" (2005). Followed by a production polish on "Snakes on a Plane" (2006). He did a production polish on "Law Abiding Citizen" (2009) and was originally hired to adapt the Chuck Hogan novel "Prince of Thieves" for "The Town" (2010), but left the project before it started.
His very first script deal in Hollywood was a blind script commitment to develop and write a pilot for a series with producer John Davis and Fox TV in early 2000.
In 2014, Sheldon Turner and his producing partner Jennifer Klein at their company Vendetta Productions, are developing 5 new television projects. Turner is developing and writing "The Buy Side", which they will executive produce; Turner is also co-developing and co-writing the limited series adaptation of "Blood Will Out"; Turner and Klein are also executive producing an "Untitled Medical Advocate Drama" at ABC as well as "The Ultimate Getaway". His latest deal is developing, writing the pilot and executive producing "Dirty Deeds" at Fox.
Since 2000, Sheldon Turner has developed at least 28 television pilots. As either a creator/writer and/or executive producer, Turner has been a part of developing those television pilots, however in the 14 years since he sold his first pilot, Turner has not been able to get a single pilot script produced.
