The lead character is injured in a rockfall and later tortured, leaving him blind. Some characters are killed with hatchets in the forehead and in the chest. A woman is stabbed in the gut and killed. There is very little sexual content. The character of Angela, Blade's love interest, is a prostitute and her bare back is exposed, when she is whipped in the back. ABurt Craven, a wanted outlaw, had been captured by Blade and Blade chopped off Burt Craven's hand with his hatchet (later replaced by a steel hook), but he set Craven free after, after a little shootout with Voller's men. Obviously, Craven wanted to get back at Blade for chopping his hand off. After rescuing Blade and nursing him back to health in a cave. Burt returned to Suttonville and at the bar, he told a female customer about how he lost his hand and offered Voller, to lead his men to the cave and kill Blade and be paid in return. Unaware, Blade had deceived Craven and he knew he was lying to him and he would ride back with Voller's men to kill him and Blade, made new hatchets, to fight off Voller's men.
