Though never given credit, a decent portion of the movie is filmed in Newport, Dayton, and Covington which are all located in Kentucky. Wiley's house, the restaurant, double date scenes, and some of the races scenes are from these locations. Bellevue, Ky is the only Kentucky city ever given credit.
Filmed when the X-Games (then called X-Games 101) started becoming popular and in-line skating was the craze. Chris Edwards (Walt) was a well known for his X-Games appearances and was one of the members of Team Rollerblade.
