When Sara and her father visit New York City sometime after
the death of Marilyn Monroe on 5 August 1962 but before the assassination of John F. Kennedy on 22 November 1963, they pass several movie theatres clearly showing titles of films released in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including: The Long Duel, Charley-One-Eye, Trouble Man, The Black Belt (_Hei dai chou (1973)_), Gordon's War and The Karate Killer (The Karate Killer).
