Trivia
When Grandsanta, Arthur and Bryony leave Tanzania to set off for Trelew, Arthur programs in '23 Mimosa Avenue, Trelew' into the Ho Ho. After they break into the wrong '23 Mimosa Avenue' in Mexico, Arthur stated that "the Ho Ho came up with a list of Trelew's and he clicked on the first one", which was Trelew in Mexico. Later on in the film, we learn that Santa did the very same thing, which is how he ended up giving the superior present to the Spanish boy, Pedro, who lived in 23 Mimosa Avenue, Trelew, Mexico. This is the same address that Arthur & Bryony broke into.

Goofs
When Arthur jumps out of the sleigh into Trelew, England to get to Gwen's house in time, he uses Santa's toy sack as a parachute. He has the bike grasped to his body but when the toy bag turns upside down as he's floating to the ground, a toy falls out meaning that they missed not just 1 present but 2, and that they didn't just miss Gwen.

After Arthur re-summons the sleigh with the help of Grandsanta, Grandsanta takes his sleigh, Evie with Arthur & Bryony, up into space to get a clear map of the world in order to find Trelew, they are only wearing breathing masks. If Arthur, Grandsanta & Bryony were beyond Earth's atmosphere without any protective astronaut clothing they would be completely exposed to lethal doses of radiation from the sun and their body fluids would fizz and bubble if they was wearing Santa & Winter Jacket clothes, even if they were just up there for a few minutes.

There is no city or town named Trelew in Mexico. But there's one in Argentina.

Q
How does the film end?
A
After much difficulty, and ultimately with Mrs. Claus' and Bryony's help, all the male Clauses arrive at Gwen's house before she awakens, only to have all but Arthur quarrel about who gets to actually place the gift. Noticing that only Arthur truly cares about the girl's feelings, the elder Clauses collectively realise that he is the sole worthy successor. As a result, Santa gives Arthur the honour and Steve forfeits his birthright to his brother. In a fitting conclusion, Gwen glimpses a snow-bearded Arthur in a wind-buffeted sweater just before vanishing into the night. With the crisis resolved, Santa goes into a happy retirement with Mrs. Claus; he also becomes grand-Santa's much-desired new companion. Meanwhile, Steve finds true contentment as Chief Operating Officer while Bryony is promoted to Vice-President of Packing. In a nod to traditionalism once neglected, the high-tech S-1 is re-christened EVIE and refitted to be pulled by a 5000-reindeer team led by the original eight reindeer, all of whom managed to return safely via innate homing abilities. Finally, Arthur happily guides the entire enterprise in the proper spirit as the new Santa.
Q
Is there really a 'Trelew' in Mexico?
A
No! There is not a Trelew in Mexico. The only Trelew in the Americas is in Argentina. Script writer Peter Baynham, born in Cardiff, Wales, included a reference to an obscure bit of Welsh history in his script, with Mimosa Avenue in Trelew. In 1865, about 150 Welsh emigrants sailed on the ship Mimosa to Patagonia, Argentina. They founded a town called Trelew, where there is now a street called Mimosa, after the ship. Baynham postulated an avenue by that name in Trelew, Cornwall, to complete the confusion between the two locations. (The movie's placement of Trelew in Mexico, instead of Argentina, is apparently an error.)
Q
What kind of fuel does the 'S1' run on?
A
We are informed that the energy that all the mince pies every Santa eats. The engines convert all the cosmic energy to fuel its engines. Otherwise, if it flies, it could run on kerosene. However, In the end, the unit was renamed to EVIE and refitted to be pulled by a 5000-reindeer team plus the original eight reindeer.
