Trivia
Barbarella's captured mole machine and her encounter with a robot belonging to a deceased rebel that has sexual relations with her are both omitted from the film, although pretty much everything else is very faithful to the comic.

English actor David Hemmings replaced Italian actor Antonio Sabato in the role of Dildano. Set photos exist of Sabato playing the famous "hand sex" scene with Jane Fonda. Sabato's performance was deemed to be too serious and he was replaced, in more comedic tone, by Hemmings.

Dildano's password, "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch", is the name of a real village in Wales, United Kingdom (unsurprisingly, it's the longest place name in the UK).

Goofs
When Mark Hand suggests having sex to Barbarella, she expects him to have "pills" for it. Later she is shocked that Dildano has them because only Earth People know of them. Neither man is from Earth.

During the opening sequence you can see the reflection of a camera on the front of her helmet, as her face is being revealed.

When Barbarella exits her spaceship and almost gets hit by a falling piece of debris, a crew member's hand can be seen for a split second pushing the rock off the top of the ship.

Q
Was Barbarella a virgin before meeting the Fur Trapper?
A
For all intents and purposes, yes. Although she was familiar with sexual release through drugs, she had never actually had physical penetrative sexual intercourse, thus making her encounter with the fur trapper her "first time".
Q
Will there be a remake?
A
Yes, Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox are fighting for the lead role at the moment. (lol)
