Trivia
Contrary to popular belief, this TV series was never intended to be a spin off of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). However the series does share the idea of humans co-existing with toons as shown in Roger Rabbit, despite that the Bonkers series was entirely animated with no live action.

Although the character of Bonkers D. Bobcat was originally conceived as the star of his own show, he ended up debuting in a theatrically released short called "Pedal to the Metal" and and also appeared in a series of segments on "Raw Toonage" prior to the debut of his own show. He costarred with Jitters, Grumbles and Fawn Deer.
