QWhat are the differences between the old BBFC 18 Version and the Uncut Version?
AThis zombiefilm-classic only received two cut releases on VHS in Great Britain, not counting the banned and uncut Vipco VHS. The theatrical version was only missing the infamous driller-scene. This version was also later released on VHS by several labels. The cut Vipco VHS was censored even more, though, and stripped off of the bloodiest scenes. Vipco and Arrow Video both released the film uncensored on DVD. A detailed comparison between the Vipco VHS version and the uncensored DVD version with pictures can be found here.
QHow did they do the zombies teleporting?
AA very simple method called stop-motion, where the camera films, then is stopped and the landscape is changed, then turned on and films again. In this case, an empty landscape was filmed, then stopped, and the actor playing the zombie would walk onto the set and the camera would start again.
QHow did they do the special effects for the scene where the woman vomits up her intestines?
AThe actress held tripe (edible parts from the stomach of an animal) in her mouth, and spat it out. Some reports say that she swallowed it and regurgitated it on camera. In some shots, a fake head was used.
