Quotes
Chev Chelios: Hey doll, looks like I let you down again. It's like all my life I've just been going, going, going. Wish I'd taken more time to stop and smell the roses so to speak. Guess it's too late for that now. You're the greatest, baby.

Doc Miles: [looking at a receipt] Chocolate, what's this fuckin' receipt from Gold Foods Market for $254?

Q
Is "Crank" based on a book?
A
No. Crank is an action-thriller written by film-makers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, both of whom also co-directed the movie. A sequel, Crank: High Voltage was released in 2009.
Q
A Note Regarding Spoilers
A
The following FAQ entries may contain spoilers. Only the biggest ones (if any) will be covered with spoiler tags. Spoiler tags have been used sparingly in order to make the page more readable.
Q
Does Chev die at the end?
A
While in real life he would have been almost liquified when he hits the ground, 99% of the stuff that happens to Chev throughout the film would have killed him. At the end, when he falls out of the helicopter, bounces off a car, then rolls to a stop in front of the camera, bloodied, not moving with his eyes open; the last second of the film you see him blink and hear his heart beating. This is telling us his heart is unstoppable and he will be back in Crank 2: High Voltage.
