Trivia
Some of the classic sci-fi props and gizmos in the movie are from Forbidden Planet (1956). Director/producer William Malone, a sci-fi fanatic, owns a collection of "Forbidden Planet" items (including Robby the Robot), and thought it would be fun to use some of them in his film.

The movie was titled "The Titan Find" in other parts of the world.

Q
Why is the Saturn moon Titan chosen as the setting for the movie?
A
Titan is the most Earth-like satellite body in our solar system. With not so extreme temperatures as other planets and satellites as well as the only large liquid-bodies, Titan is the best choice for "probability". Also, it is within our solar system so it does not appear to need extremely super-advanced technologies and is much easier to believe.
