A 1964 flashback features a Kodak Instamatic camera with a rotating flashcube, a model not made available until the 1970s.

Although his features are obscured, it is obvious during the chase and rape flashback that Beth's attacker has light-colored hair, excluding two of the young men (Tim and Matt) as her rapist.

The positioning of the yearbook class photos of young Jake and young Tim differs from shot to shot. When Julie first flips through the 1965 school yearbook in the library, Tim's photo can be seen in the middle of the second row on the left hand page, and Jake's in the fourth row left of the same page (Tim's picture can also been seen on another page that also displays Del's photo). Later, when Beth goes through the yearbook and flashes back to the night of the dance, Tim's photo is shown in the left hand side of the left row, Jake's on the right-hand page in the middle of the second row.
