When the 4 jets take off to blow the plane, it's 2 F18 and 2 F15. In flight it's 4 F16.

Except for Steven Seagal's character having a shady CIA-type past, this film is an almost scene-by-scene remake of the Michael Dudikoff vehicle Black Thunder (1998). Despite this, the writer of "Black Thunder," William C. Martell, received no official credit for the screenplay, only a "thanks" buried in the end credits of "Flight of Fury." Seagal and his writing partner Joe Halpin received full credit for the screenplay.

During the X77's first flight, watch the ground below it and the F16 it's flying with. The X77 is flying over white topped mountains while the F16 is flying over a rocky desert.

When Ratcher takes the Stealth Bomber out of the hangar at Edwards Air Force Base, the mountain range in the background is the same as the mountain range in the background in Afghanistan when John Sands taxis on to the runway.

Despite the admiral being briefed by the general over an open radio, with enlisted personnel within earshot, he informs the CAG later that it is a "need to know" mission.
