This was Director Gareth Carrivick's final production. He died of leukemia the 16th of March 2010, nearly a year after the movie was released in the UK.

Early on in the film, Pete and Toby press Ray for what his ideal profession would be, to which he replies "Time Lord" as a reference to the race of people from Doctor Who. Dean Lennox Kelly, who plays Pete (the time-travel skeptic), had previously portrayed William Shakespeare in the Doctor Who episode, Doctor Who: The Shakespeare Code (2007).

One of the most famous time travel short stories, 'A Sound of Thunder' by Ray Bradbury, where a time traveler changes the future (his present) by stepping on a butterfly in the distant past, is referenced during a discussion of the 'rules' of time travel, with Pete saying "You can't tread on any butterflies"

After Pete calls Ray and Toby in to the beer garden to look at the painting, a crew member can be seen as Toby is emerging from the pub.

In the café after Ray gets fired from his job, the same extra walks past Ray twice.

Ray: Chaos theory is basically the idea that tiny things can have huge consequences. So because you delayed me from going through there, all of the little things that I was going to do have been delayed subsequently, and that has a knock-on effect - which can totally change the future.

Ray: It's time travel, shit like that can happen.

Ray: Do you have any idea how rare it is to find a girl who's into science fiction, who doesn't have everything pierced?
