When Centron began work on this movie for Spencer Chemical Company in 1954, they decided to work Spencer's trademark, Mr. N, into the film, and that's when Billy Barty, famous Hollywood midget who was appearing on the Spike Jones and Pinky Lee TV shows, came into the picture. Barty was to wear a strange little green costume and when he first arrived at the studio, director Herk Harvey asked him, "Did you bring the costume I wanted you to bring?" Barty answered, "Oh, no, Herk, I forgot!" But Barty, with his wacky sense of humor, was just kidding.
