The second out-and-out racial comedy that Denzel Washington has starred in. In this film, black Denzel Washington dies and his heart is transplanted into white cop Bob Hoskins. In the earlier Carbon Copy (1981), made and released about one decade earlier in 1981, white George Segal discovers his son is a black Denzel Washington.
Apart from William Shakespeare's period comic romance Much Ado About Nothing (1993), this 1990 picture is the last out-and-out comedy movie [to date, October 2013] that Denzel Washington has made and has never done one ever since.
