Trivia
This is Joseph McManners first feature film. Unfortunately, the huge back story behind his character was left out of the final cut and can only be found in the deleted scenes on the DVD.

Throughout the first half of the film, Danny asks Angel a number of annoying questions like "Have you ever shot two guns at once while diving through the air?" to which Angel responds "No - you've been watching too many cop movies! The job isn't like that." Then in the second half of the film, every single thing that Danny has asked about, Angel has to do. He does shoot two guns while leaping through the air, etc. The only thing that Nicolas doesn't do is shooting into the air and screaming. Danny does that. Also, when the police crew are in the pub (on Nicholas' first day), the Andes mention that in small towns everybody carries a firearm, especially farmer's and their mothers. Not only are they correct (at least in Sandford), but the first people who shoot at Angel are a farmer and his mum.

When Eve Draper and Martin Blower are killed in the car crash after their performance of Romeo and Juliet, you can hear, "Romeo and Juliet" by Dire Straits playing on Skinner's car radio.

Goofs
When Nicholas and Danny stop Martin and Eve for speeding, Eve is playing with her hair when Martin says, "I'm playing the eponymous hero." In the next shot, from the front, both her arms are by her sides nowhere near her hair.

When Sergeant Angel runs up to the top of the church tower as he opens the door you see the truncated stone pillar on his left, but in the subsequent helicopter shot the pillar is missing.

In a shot preceeding Nick's questioning everyone's eating chocolate cake, Danny Butterman can be seen eating a bit of cake. In the next shot in which he can be seen, there is more cake on his plate.

Q
Although it turns out to be incorrect, what was Sgt. Angel's theory about the murders?
A
Sgt Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) accuses Simon Skinner (Timothy Dalton) of murdering Martin Blower (David Threlfall), Eve Draper (Lucy Punch), and George Merchant (Ron Cook) because they were working together to get land for the new bypass. If the bypass was accessible by road then it would be a good location for a retail park, which would make Skinner go out of business. He basically thinks Skinner killed them all because they were competition. He then accuses Skinner of killing Tim Messenger (Adam Buxton) because Messenger was a loose end who knew about the Blower/Draper/Merchant thing. Angel also accuses Skinner of killing Leslie Tiller (Anne Reid) because she was going to sell up to the land developers.

Q
How many repeated lines were there in "Hot Fuzz"?
A
Here are some (and still counting): "For the greater good" said by most of the characters. "It was an accident" said by the two Andys; also said by Danny. "By the power of Greyskull" said by Danny then by Angel. "You're a doctor, deal with it" said by Angel both times. "It weren't me" said by Danny both times. "A great big bushy beard" said by Frank Butterman. It can be heard again through voice over when Angel sees the dead bodies in the cellar. "Yes he is" or "Yes they are" said by the Andys. "Very good.. what he said" Sgt. Fisher spoke about Angel's plans, then said by Angel about Fisher's plan. "Nasty way to go!" "Fascist". "Hag". "Swan". "Crusty jugglers". "I didn't know nothing 'bout no 'skellingtons'!". "Nobody tells me nothin' ". "Sergeant. Angel! Somebody from London called for you.". "My perfect Sunday is...". "Hello Nicholas! How's the hand?". "It's still a bit stiff.". *(blows raspberry) accompanied by vulgar hand gesture* "Jog on!". "Roger that!". "You don't know how to switch off!". "Her horticultural expertise helped put Sandford on the map!". "Oh, she is/was ever so good." (said by Joyce about Leslie Tiller, before and after Leslie's death). "Big 'un".. "Yarp". "Greg...was an extra in Straw Dogs, and Sheri played a cadaver in Prime Suspects.". "...listed her age as 55" , "When I'm/she's actually 53!","53!". "...three hours of so-called acting last night, and the kiss was the only convincing moment in it. ". "Aaron A. Aaronson.". "It's a Japanese Peace Lily.". "Pub?". "I suppose."Here are some almost-repeats: Angel: We can't accept gifts from someone we've officially rebuked'; then Danny: We can't accept gifts from someone we've officially 'reviewed'. Angel: He's appointed himelf Judge, jury, and executioner; then Danny: He is NOT Judge Judy and executioner! "No luck finding them swans, then?" "It's just the one swan actually" followed by "No luck finding them killers, then?" "It's just the one killer actually." "That Sergeant Angel's in your shop...check out his arse..." "That Sergeant Angel's back...check out his horse..."
