Goofs
When Lt. Gates and Capt. Rochard come up to the dam, Rochard is rowing. He jumps to the front of the boat to look over the edge. When he does so, he drops the starboard oar into the water. The next scene shows him looking over the edge and when the camera cuts back to the aerial view, you can see both oars are shipped and dry on the boat as he begins to row again.

With Catherine gone briefly, Henri is waiting and sleeping in the sidecar when some children put the motorcycle in gear. With no driver the motorcycle increases in speed and shifts gears.

The boat changes between the time they ask to use it and when they get in it. You can tell by the size and location of the words "US Army."

Quotes
Capt. Henri Rochard: My name is Rochard. You'll think I'm a bride but actually I'm a husband. There'll be a moment or two of confusion but, if we all keep our heads, everything will be fine.

Sergeant: Any female trouble? Capt. Henri Rochard: Nothing but, Sergeant.

Lt. Catherine Gates: [humiliated after Capt. Rochard publicly returns her laundry in an insinuating manner] Oh, what a stinker YOU are.

Q
How does it end?
A
Henri and Catherine get married. Her unit is about to return to the States. In a long comedy sequence that Kafka would appreciate, Henri looks for a place to sleep the night before they get on the ship.He has a hard time getting on the ship. He finally dresses up as a woman, with a horse's tail for a wig, and manages to get on board, but is soon apprehended before all is cleared up.Catherine joins him in the holding cell. For some reason he throws the key out to sea. (Don't get me wrong, I love Cary Grant, but the movie takes a wrong turn as if to accommodate its title.)
