Producer Derek Bennett spoke to the 'Daily Mirror' following the broadcast of the final episode: "I have had a fantastic amount of abusive mail from viewers. People have called the shows filthy, disgusting and too sexy. There were a few who liked them. About 9-1 were against. I still think there is an audience for dramatic emotions and situations. But viewers must grow up and be more adult."

Ten editions out of the sixteen made for this series are not known to survive in the archives; the missing episodes are all from the second season.
