The sequence at beginning of each episode where Jungle Jim dives off a high cliff into a pool of water was shot at Chicken Rock at Lake Sherwood, California, with stuntman Paul Stader doubling for Johnny Weissmuller.

Jungle Jim's flying boat is named "The Sitting Duck".

In Atlanta, Ga., in the early 1960s, reruns of this series were shown within a one-hour weekly children's program, "Mr. Pix", starring local anchorman Dave Michaels. Michaels was a part-time artist and played an artist known as Mr. Pix.
