Trivia
The title is a play on the Rolling Stones film, Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones (1973). Original titles considered were "All Washed Up" and "The Professionals."
Diane Lane refused to dye her hair for the several changes of hair color throughout the movie. They used a series of different wigs with different lengths to simulate hair growth/roots instead.
Laura Dern's mother, Diane Ladd, refused to give her permission to travel to shoot on location, as she felt Dern was too young. Dern sued for legal emancipation, won it, and did the movie anyway.
