The words "A Franco Columbu film" appear on the screen at the beginning of Jack Slater IV. Columbu is a bodybuilder friend of star Arnold Schwarzenegger's, who has appeared in the following films with him: Pumping Iron (1977), Conan the Barbarian (1982), The Terminator (1984), The Running Man (1987) and Beretta's Island (1994).

The film ran behind schedule, so much so there was just one test screening that ran for two hours and 20 minutes with a lot of inaudible dialogue, boring the audience. The studio refused to delay the opening, so not to send the message the film was in trouble; a decision Schwarzenegger agreed with.

When Jack is leaving the police station with his personal effects in a box his shirt is riddled with bullet holes. When he arrives at his apartment and enters, the shirt has no holes.

How was Jack Slater able to walk around new york city without anybody thinking he was Arnold? He should have been mobbed by fans.

Nick: There are lots of things worse than movies: politicians, wars, forest fires, famine, plague, sickness, pain, warts, politicians...

Frank: I'm out of here...

Jack Slater: You've seen these movies where they say "Make my day" or "I'm your worst nightmare"? Well, listen to this one: Rubber baby buggie bumpers!

Q
What was the word that Danny writes down and asks Jack to say, but Jack refuses?
A
The word was most likely "fuck".In movies rated PG-13, films are only allowed to use that particular word or a variant of it once. Twice on rare occasions, depending on context; such as the movie Lakeview Terrace. It also could have been "Mother-Fucker" as that variant hasn't been spoken in a PG-13 film. The word may also have been "cunt" as it has never been used in a PG-13 film either.Interestingly enough, this film only says the word once at the very end of the movie when Slater's Captain is once again yelling at Slater.
