At 40 years old, Seth Meyers is the oldest person to start hosting NBC's "Late Night" franchise.

One act of each show begins with a brief still shot featuring a coffee mug emblazoned with the logo of an NBC affiliate station. The first, aired on the premiere episode, was that of WNCN in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose marketing director gave Seth Meyers the mug as a gift.

Seth Meyers is the first "Late Night" host to be older than the host of "The Tonight Show". Meyers was 40 when he started hosting and Jimmy Fallon was 39.
