Trivia
There are a total of seven rangers (by color) with only a maximum of six appearing at one time. However, the season 2 three-part episode "Return of the Green Ranger", allow for there being seven Ranger colors in one show, although they don't all appear on-screen at the same time.

The unfortunate implications and minor backlash that arose due to an African-American actor (Walter Jones) cast as Zack/The Black Ranger and a Vietnamese actress (Thuy Trang) cast as Trini/The Yellow Ranger were noticed too late in production to change and entirely unintentional. Audri Dubois, who is not Asian, was originally cast as Trini and Jones had originally been cast as Billy/The Blue Ranger. Incidentally, David Yost, who played Billy, was originally cast as Jason/The Red Ranger.

When Austin St. John (Jason), Walter Jones (Zack) and Thuy Trang (Trini) were no longer filming episodes of the series, additional dialog for their characters' voices were done by uncredited actors. For the new episodes, Trini's voice was done by an unknown actress named Judy, Jason's was done by associate producer Paul Rosenthal and Zack's was done by Joel Rogers, Bob Manahan's second engineer.

Goofs
In Day Of The Dumpster (the first official episode of the series), the Rangers are shown with their wrist communicators on. They didn't gain these until a later episode.

Episode 93 "Lights, Camera, Action" claims that David Sarnoff invented the television. While the actual inventor is a matter of debate, David Sarnoff in fact simply ran competing company RCA; he never did any actual inventing.

The battle footage is composed of Japanese footage from the Zyuranger Super Sentai series. This normally is not a problem, but if one looks closely, there are a few scenes where the word "Zyuranger" can be seen on the Rangers' Power Morphers/Blade Blasters/Weapons/etc.
