Modern Vampires is a darkly comic social satire, not a straight-ahead vampire movie. Due to the way film was marketed, some unsuspecting viewers, thinking they were going to see a straight-ahead vampire film, may not have gotten what they expected.
At the end of the movie, when the gang is shooting the vampires at the nightclub, Time Bomb is shown shooting with two semiautomatic pistols, yet the slides were back, indicating that the guns were out of bullets.
What are the differences between the R-Rated and Unrated Version?
A
The R-Rated version has been edited MPAA-style, which means that scenes including violence and nudity were cut by several frames. Sometimes alternate footage was used and therefore there's only a difference of approx. 11 seconds between both cuts. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
