Just before the end credits, as the Trojan Horse is being pulled off screen, it is followed fittingly by the mustachioed little street cleaner from the end of the "parade" opening (and at the end of each episode) of the "Peabody's Improbable History" segment of Rocky and His Friends (1959)).

Goofs
Oedipus would have lived several generations before the Trojan War, and is not connected with that story. Agamemnon's father was Atreus, not the Minotaur, who was a beast from an earlier age. Agamemnon was already married long before the Trojan War, but Ms. Grunion would not have been the only prize he brought home.

The Greek soldiers are shown emerging from the Trojan Horse to engage in battle. In the myth, the Greek soldiers in the horse waited for nightfall, then secretly opened the gates of Troy to allow the Greek army to enter.

Quotes
Penny Peterson: Uh, hold up a second. Can you walk me through that, somebody?

Mr. Peabody: Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, they get married too young in Ancient Egypt... or perhaps I'm just some old Giza.

Sherman: Why not go to the future?

Q
What happened to the other Penny?
A
The other Penny is still in ancient Egypt. In timeline A, Penny A and Sherman A travel to Egypt where she stays in order to get married to King Tut. Sherman A travels back to timeline A after he (and Penny A) used the WABAC machine. Sherman A and Peabody A travel back to Egypt in order to rescue Penny A, which they successfully do, and travel through different time periods. After Peabody A mysteriously vanishes during the Trojan War, Sherman A and Penny A go back to the timeline in which they already existed thus creating a timeline B. So, the Peabody and Sherman in timeline B are now Peabody B and Sherman B thus Penny B is still in Egypt. Suddenly, Sherman B and Peabody A (who survived the fall) return to timeline B, and a time paradox is created when the two Shermans and Peabodys merge.Despite that Sherman and Peabody fixed the paradox and established the timeline in its rightful place, Penny B is still left in ancient Egypt.
Q
Did Mr. Peabody build the WABAC himself or with his adoptive son?
A
He built the machine himself as a birthday present for his adopted son, Sherman.
