I have heard that not all numbers called are broadcast. Is this done to lower the chance a home audience member will get a bingo?

For the home audience its not a real bingo game. The cards that you print out at home are predetermined to win or not based upon the numbers drawn during the pre-taped show. The skipped numbers don't effect the outcome of the home game.This is explained in the disclaimer at the end of the show.
