Trivia
Adrien Brody was asked to sign a document clearing director 'Richard Shepard' and producers from lawsuits if Brody's teeth were damaged from the braces he wore during filming. Brody refused to sign, claiming he didn't want to sue anyone, but if his teeth were ruined during filming, he would have to sue.

Adrien Brody uses a knife at the end of the movie to cut Maura Tierney's character free from her restraints. This knife actually belongs to Adrien and has made its way into Summer of Sam (1999) as well.

Both Maura Tierney and Adrien Brody had to rush to finish this movie because both had other, bigger movies to film; Forces of Nature (1999) and Summer of Sam (1999), respectively.

Q
What was the point of the yellow paint can?
A
The yellow paint can was left over from the painter who painted the walls in the interrogation room where Harry was being questioned. In several other scenes that show Harry's boots, e.g., in the cemetery and the interrogation room, it can be seen that they are splattered with yellow paint, i.e., Harry was the painter of the walls. It's to show the connection between him and his surroundings. Before his arrest, he spent time there as a maintenance person to become familiar with the floor plans so he could later escape.
