Remake of Point Blank (1967) with Lee Marvin based on the book "The Hunter", one of Donald E. Westlake's "Parker" novels. The book was actually renamed Point Blank for some printings.
When Val is talking to Porter while he is in bed with Pearl, Pearl reaches over to Val and her hair is covering the left side of her front. The next shot hand is still on Val but her hair is behind her and not covering her body.
Carter: I don't want Mr. Bronson hearing about this... he'll think I'm getting soft. One of his principles has always been: if you don't understand it, get rid of it... a stitch in time, so to speak, so... stitch this mutt up, Phil.
Is this a remake of the 1967 movie "Point Blank" with Lee Marvin?
A
It's not so much a remake as it is another version of the novel both films are based on.
Q
Is the old British BBFC 18 version uncensored?
A
Unfortunately not. One scene in which a butterfly knife is used, was censored. These cuts were waived for the Blu-ray release. A detailed comparison with pictures can be found here.
Q
What are the differences between the Theatrical Version and the Director's Cut?
A
Overall the theatrical version is a little funnier, easier accessable and more spectacular. In the spring of 2006 the Director's Cut was produced and it comes close to Helgeland's original version. The latter, however, probably never existed as a final cut. The Director's Cut still differs a little from it. Still, both cuts of the movie present different films with changing plots and message.
A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.
