The character of Sailor Luna appears only in the live-action series (she is the human senshi form of the Luna plush cat). The character of Luna did not appear in human form during any of the five seasons of the animated Sailor Moon series, and was seen briefly in the form of a teenage girl/young woman (though not an actual senshi) towards the end of the Sailor Moon S movie. Luna also appears as a human in various acts of the manga (the Sailormoon S movie equivilant, and the last few acts of the Sailorstars Arc) and does have a few attacks of her own in the manga.

Thoughout the manga and anime version of Sailor Moon, Minako Aino was actually a regular school girl who dreams of being a J-pop star. The live action version makes her one.

Chieko Kawabe (Osaka Naru) has an extensive history with the Sailor Moon franchise, having played the role of Sailor Mercury in several Sailor Moon stage musicals in Japan.

In Act 20, when Venus and Mars are cartwheeling in the chapel to avoid the Youma's attack, their shoes are flats instead of heels.
