Brandon Lee (I)' stated in an US Magazine interview shortly after filming completed, that he had filmed a scene where he had to kick open a large oak door. He stated "we filmed this scene where I had to nail this huge oak door, so I go to do the scene and I broke one of my toes. My foot swelled up to the size of a watermelon and we had to end filming for the day." Adding insult to injury, he said, the scene was never included in the film.
Prior to the scene in which where Powers Boothe's character Ryan interrogates Frank, he asks Brandon Lee's character Jake to take his "Fists of Fury" outside. The Chinese Connection (1972) (aka "Fists of Fury") was one of Bruce Lee, Brandon's father, first films.
When Jake is fighting the corrupt FBI guys in the apartment he kicks the gun out of the hands of one of the agents and it falls between the bed and the wall. The next shot shows the gun lying on the bed.
During the restaurant shoot out Jake knocks out a mobster and then does a somersault over the mobster's shoulder. When he jumps off, you can see the mobster is lifting Jake up to help him do the somersault.
Agent Stuart: I want you to know, Jake, that I'm the only one who did this to myself, and to you. I want you to know that I take responsibility for my personal actions.
What are the differences between the British BBFC-18 version and the uncut version?
A
Because of the (old) British policy regarding the use of specific weapons, this action flick had to be cut in one scene in which a nunchaku was used. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
