Trivia
A dialogue that Sanjay Dutt's character was to deliver to Amitabh Bachchan's character. The words he needed to deliver were "Chutiya" meaning from the vagina, this is a slang hindi word. Out of respect for Bachchan, Dutt was unable to deliver this dialogue despite being encouraged by Bachchan. After a few unsuccessful attempts the dialogue was changed.

Goofs
In the scene just before the shoot out, when the anchorwoman is interviewing an actress, the table has a Pepsi bottle on it. However, this Pepsi bottle looks like the redesigned Pepsi bottles from the late 90s: since the film takes place in 1991, the bottle should have been the older gray/white style.

Shamsher Khan (played by Sanjay Dutt) is a Muslim, however when we see him writing on a notepad, we see red thread on his right wrist which is worn by Hindus. For other scenes in the film, Sanjay covered his wrist with the sleeve of his shirt, however in this scene the sleeve is folded up and we can see the red thread.

The song 'Ganpat' in its second verse mentions Bipasha (Bipasha Basu), Mallika (Mallika Sherawat) & Aishwarya (Aishwarya Rai). All of these actresses started acting in movies only after 1995, where as the song supposedly takes place in mid 1991.

Quotes
Dhingra: [now as the ATS' defense lawyer, in court] I just want to ask one question. One question - that's it. It's a question for this court, for this country: it's not a question of law, it's a question about our homes, our families. You have a family... right now, your wife and child are alone at home and there's a man right outside your door with a gun.

Javed Shaikh: I've told you before, I don't want to join the ATS. I don't risk my life for the police anymore.

Javed Shaikh: Ah, the f-word. As usual used with an utter lack of relevance or context to that most basic of human acts, which it so explicitly and yet so succintly describes. A sad but unavoidable linguistic travesty in these modern times!
