Trivia
The trams at Crich mostly ran along the streets of cities in United Kingdom before the 1960s, with some trams rescued and restored (even from other countries) as the systems closed. The town of Matlock is close by and the nearest train service is from Whatstandwell railway station on the Derwent Valley Line (Derby-Matlock line), with a steep walk up to the museum at the top of the hill.

Ribblehead viaduct is 440 yards long, and 104 feet above the valley floor at its highest point. It is made up of twenty-four arches of 45 feet span, with foundations 25 feet deep. The north end of the viaduct is 13 feet higher in elevation than the south end. 1.5 million bricks were used in the construction and some of the limestone blocks weighed 8 tons each.

The Blue John Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. The cavern takes its name from the semi-precious mineral Blue John, which is still mined in small amounts outside the tourist season and made locally into jewellery. The miners who work the remaining seams are also the guides for underground public tours. The eight working seams are known as Twelve Vein, Old Dining Room, Bull Beef, New Dining Room, Five Vein, Organ Room, New Cavern and Landscape.

Goofs
When Chris and Tina first arrive at the Abbey he is wearing gaiters. When they are inside the Abbey he's not wearing them but when they go outside again he is wearing them.

Early in the film, when Tina's hair is being brushed by her mother, there is a cut to Tina with her mother visible behind her. Although we can hear her talking, her mouth is shut. Out of sync audio/visuals are a trademark of director Ben Wheatley's editing style (see also: Kill List)

The Volvo's wing mirror extenders disappear and reappear as they're arriving at the first caravan site.

Quotes
Chris: So what were you like when you were a little kid, then?
Chris: So, have you had a nice holiday?
Chris: This is exactly how I imagined it. No one sticking their nose in. No one penetrating the mind. Take the noble English oak, Old Knobbley. That won't stab you in the back or belittle your five year plan. That tree won't... steal things that belong to you and put them in another place just to piss you off. That tree won't involve itself in low-level bullying that means you have to leave work.
