Animator Bahi JD drew over 1893 key-animation drawings for 13 shots in episode 1. Every single drawing in his scene was entirely drawn by him to have full control over the animation.

The show's original Japanese has the crew nicknamed Baka (Dandy), Bonkura (Meow) and Ponkotsu (QT). In the English sub this becomes Blockhead, Bonehead and Pinhead.

The action scenes with Dandy and Miau at the end of episode 1 by the animators Yutaka Nakamura and Bahi JD were mostly improvised. There were no strict instructions given to them. The directors had given them total freedom during the production of that episode.
