Goofs
At the first murder scene, the shotgun is a different model outside the house and inside the house.

When Mike is talking to Peter when he brings Linoge into the store after his arrest, Robbie can be seen in the background facing a different direction between shots. He's facing left, then right, then left again.

When Mike Anderson is riding in his van around dusk en route to the scene of the first murder, his beard has reached an obvious black stubble stage. A few hours later in the plot, he is clean shaven. His activities are all accounted for over this time period, and taking time out to shave was not one of them.

Quotes
Martha Clarendon: [Linoge rings Mrs. Clarendon's doorbell. She comes walking down the hall very slowly] Oh, hold on. I'm getting there as fast as I can. I broke my hip last summer, and I'm still as slow as cold molassas.

Andre Linoge: When in vice, say it twice.

Andre Linoge: [after Mike accuses him of seeing only the bad] The good is an illusion. Little fables folks tell themselves so they can get through their days without screaming too much.

Faq
Q
What is the significance of Linoge's name? *Spoilers*
A
Linoge's name is an anagram of the word "Legion". As Mike Anderson relates during the show, there is a story in the bible where Jesus casts demons out of a possessed man. The name of those demons was "Legion, for we are many".
Q
Who is Linoge? *Spoilers*
A
He appears to be some form of demonic sorcerer akin to other Stephen King villains (such as Randall Flagg in The Stand), capable of coercing people and objects to his will through supernatural means. Little information is given about his background, other than that he is ancient (thousands of years old) but not immortal, and a brief reference to "before Atlantis sank into the African Ocean". The name "Linoge" itself is an anagram for "Legion", the collective name of a group of demons cast out from a man by Jesus in the bible - and perhaps a hint at the nature and source of Linoge's powers. His true form, free of all magical disguise, is that of an impossibly ancient man, dressed in wizard's robes and carrying a wolfshead staff. The original screenplay (ultimately not included in the televised show) described him explicitly as a wizard, with robes of royal-silver blue covered in arcane imagery, a tall pointed wizard's hat, and a wolfshead staff "worthy of Merlin".
