Trivia
When Harold is playing his guitar in his apartment, they show a closeup of the volume control on his Fender amp. It's turned up to its loudest setting, which is labeled "12". This is a takeoff on the scene in "This Is Spinal Tap" where Nigel Tufnel is showing off his guitar amp to Marty DiBergi. Nigel brags that the volume control on his goes up to "11", whereas all other amps only go up to "10", making his amp "one louder".

Goofs
Near the beginning, Ms. Eifel dictates "When asked by a co-worker for the product of 67 and 453, Harold drew a blank. He quickly answered 30,351 despite the answer really being 31,305." The product of 67 and 453 actually is 30,351. This was meant to get viewers to question who was dictating Harold's life. Was it the narrator or Harold himself? It wouldn't be a coincidence that the "incorrect" number given by Harold would in fact be the correct answer.

When Ms. Eiffel walks out of the fruit store, there's a sign in Spanish that reads "DENERO" instead of "DINERO" (money).

When Harold runs up to Ana with the flours, the front of the cardboard box he is holding is creased. The box is uncreased moments later in a close-up.

Q
Why doesn't Harold tell Ana what was going to happen to him?
A
Harold loved Ana and did not want to burden her with the knowledge that he was going to die. He had come to fully appreciate life and wanted to enjoy his last moments. If he had told Ana, she undoubtedly would have tried to talk him out of it, which would have made their last moments together unpleasant. Additionally, although he had come to accept his fate, Ana would not have understood his decision...
Q
What is the song Harold plays for Ana?
A
"(I'd Go The) Whole Wide World" by Wreckless Eric
