Bison is the child of Irish missionaries. The actors portraying him as a teenager and adult are appropriate, but when he is gravely ill in the orphanage, the camera zooms on an apparently Asian baby.

If Bison was raised in Bangkok from infancy, he wouldn't have the Irish accent that seems to come and go.

Q
Will there be special moves from the characters in this film?
A
From producer Ashok Amritraj:We did up to a point and then we went off and went into... it is a classic martial arts movie. I mean its a classic genre martial arts film in certain ways. In other ways it has the hadouken - the chi ball. It has the spinning bird kick you know, where she does her spinning bird kick. It has many of those sort of iconic images to it, but I think the action sequences are quite wonderful to tell you the truth.Source: http://www.collider.com/entertainment/interviews/article.asp?aid=9604&tcid=1
Q
Why won't Ryu and Ken be featured in the film?
A
This film is based on the "Street Fighter: Alpha" series and focuses on the events that happend before the second "World Warrior" tournament. Chun-Li was not in the original SF tournament, but she was in the 2nd, which is what the "Street Fighter II" game is based on. Chun-Li met Charlie before she met Guile, who entered the "World Warrior" to investigate Charlie's death in the hands of M. Bison. Chun-Li is the first character of the series to have a connection to Bison, the series' main antagonist because he killed her father.
Q
How many Street Fighter characters are in the film?
A
Chun-Li, M. Bison, Rose (Street Fighter Alpha), Balrog, Nash (Charlie), Vega, and Gen.
