In the scene where Aunt Lucille is saying "Rick walked off a class trip" Uncle Albert is reading a newspaper. If you look closely the back page of the newspaper is an advertisement for a book called "Forgiving the Franklins" which is actually a movie written by Jay Floyd who is a clearance administrator for Superhero Movie.

Goofs
When Dragonfly learns to fly, he sprouts wings, which would presumably tear through his costume. His back has no rips or tears in later scenes.

When the truck driver honks his horn, the sound of an air horn is heard. In order to sound that horn, he would have to pull a cord. Pressing on the steering sounds the city horn, which has a different sound.

Q
What are the differences between the theatrical version and the Extended version of the movie?
A
The Extended version of Superhero Movie features not only some more violent scenes but also several new dirty jokes that aren't included in the theatrical version. Altogether this adds to a total difference of approximately 6 minutes. Just in case you're a fan of this movie the Extended version is worth a try.
